The Ultimate Friend of the Trees

Love working with plants and people? Want to commit to be a leader in the community? Sign up for Our City Forest's Tree Amigo class.

ABOUT THE CLASS

Tree Amigos are specialized volunteers with Our City Forest who have completed our free 5-class training course. You will learn about our different programs, how to plant and care for trees, and how to connect with the community to help build a greener and healthier San Jose! Come volunteer with us and help our urban forest thrive!

We are no longer in the planting season, so the next class will begin later this Fall. However, you can get a head start by volunteering at our other events this summer!

HOW TO APPLY

Please click on the link to our application form below. If you're under 18, you will need to have your parent/guardian fill out this Consent Form and submit before we can follow up with your application.

Gilroy tree amigo class

Our City Forest is getting ready to bring more trees to Gilroy

We are looking to create a team of trained planting volunteers located in and around Gilroy. Our City Forest is putting out a call for community volunteers to join the OCF team to learn best practices and be ready to plant independently. Volunteers will need to attend a minimum of 2 planting events and successfully plant 3 trees to Our City Forest standards before becoming a certified Gilroy Tree Amigo. Certified Tree Amigos will then be able to independently plant Our City Forest provided trees throughout Gilroy. For more details or if you have any questions please email our Volunteer team at volunteer@ourcityforest.org

Please email volunteer@ourcityforest.org if you have any questions.
